Teacher’s Corner

“Without community, there is no liberation.”

— Audre Lorde

Every educator has that moment when they look around their classroom and feel as though they are not making a difference. The blank stares and dropping eyelids are as depressing as staying after school on a Friday. It’s times like these that I need inspiration. Here you will find inspirational videos, sites to spice up your lessons, and various information that always seem to lift my spirits. Enjoy!

You make a difference every day!

All Sides | Balanced News: This site was recommended to me by a former colleague and I’ve used it countless times across grade levels. Push students to examine all sides of what they see in the news.
Helpful Sites: I love my Caribbean roots, making candles, gardening, and sharing resources! I update this resource page once a week.
Quick Lessons Galore: If you need a quick lesson, check out TED Ed first. Theres usually a fun lesson tied to each season on the main page.

Persevere in the face of adversity.
